“I will voice several important, in my opinion, theses.
I do not see any proper way out of the conflict that would not result into extermination of Ukraine as country – all other ways are tantamount to defeat.
Demilitarization and denazification without replacing the resulting vacuum with the Russian idea will again and again lead to remilitarization and re-nazification.
It doesn’t matter who is put in charge of Ukraine after the operation - be it Yanukovich, or Tsarev, or Putin himself, without a decisive replacement of Ukrainism with a different content, we will again and again get the process of establishing a hostile nation state.
Even Stalin, with the strongest Soviet army and the most powerful communist ideology, failed to outroot Ukrainism. But then there was a reason – creating Ukrainism was one of the tasks of the Soviet government, and the fight was carried out only against “bad” Ukrainians (URA and other far-right groups), while “good” Ukrainians were encouraged. It’s important not to make this mistake again.”
